Bev is a professional certified coach that founded a thriving Executive Leadership Coaching and Consulting company after a successful 38-year career at IBM. Her experiences as a leader in administration, sales, marketing and operations with a focus on talent hiring and development provides her with broad expertise to partner and support C Suite clients and high potential leaders. While at IBM, she led a team in creating an award-winning internal coaching business as well as a leadership development program and process that created a pipeline for the next generation of company leaders. The internal coaching business was recognized with the Prism Award twice. During her corporate career, Bev developed a reputation for turning around underperforming teams and departments and creating new businesses from startup to steady state.
Bev’s coaching clients grow their expertise in creating positive work cultures that attract and retain the talent they need to achieve their business objectives and create high performance teams with increased individual and collective accountability. All companies are in the people business! She coaches leaders who want to harness the ROP™ (return on people) to increase their ROI (return on investment). In the words of one of her long-time clients, “She teaches fishing, makes it fun and productive rather than just providing answers.” Her approach to coaching is to understand what her clients want to achieve and become their accountability partner using her skills and experiences to support them in achieving their goals.
She has coached, trained, and consulted with clients in technology, healthcare, financial services and university level education. Past client industries have included food service, government (missile defense, civil rights, law firms), construction, transportation and insurance. The common denominator across her clients is a focus on leadership effectiveness and inclusiveness.
In addition to her client work, Bev is a sought-after keynote speaker and has done work as an adjunct professor at SMU. Since 2002, she has been the board chair for Dallas Dinner Table evolving to America’s Dinner Table, and a mentor and board member for the Unreasonable Group. Dallas Dinner Table offers private events for companies and organizations that want to create a safe space to discuss racial and cultural differences that focus on listening, reflection and increased understanding and appreciation of diverse perspectives and lived experiences.
Bev earned her BA in Sociology with a Minor in Psychology and is a professional certified coach (ICF, PCC, CPCC). She lives in Plano, TX with her husband of 54 years.
