John Scott Boston (Scott) retired from Kimberly-Clark Corporation in 2020 where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Kimberly-Clark Corporation is a $20B global company with more than 40,000 employees across more than 63 countries. With brands like Kleenex, Scott, Huggies, Pull-Ups, Kotex, Poise and Depend, K-C holds the No. 1 or No. 2 brand share in more than 80 countries.
Scott was instrumental in the operationalization of K-C’s People Strategy, improving the way they hire, develop and retain highly-engaged, talented people around the world. He also led the implementation of world-class processes and tools to connect K-C’s people strategy to business goals.
Scott brings more than 20 years of broad-based experience in the Human Resources discipline. Prior to joining K-C, he was Senior Vice President, Human Resources at McKesson Corporation – a Fortune 20 provider of pharmaceutical distribution, medical and surgical supplies, and information healthcare technology solutions. He also worked for BellSouth Corporation for 17 years, where he served in many roles including Vice President Human Resources, and Chief Learning Officer with responsibility for all learning, talent acquisition, EEO and HR Shared Services.
Scott received a B.B.A. double major in Marketing and Management from Emory University. He also earned an Executive MBA in International Business from Emory University’s Goizeuta Business School, where he graduated at the top of his class and received the honor of “Most Outstanding Academic Achievement.” Scott resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
